Trey's use of STEEL-IT products has been instrumental in his success on the track, providing the durability and reliability required to thrive in the demanding world of off-road racing. "I use STEEL-IT polyurethane Coatings on all the raw metal parts of the truck," says Trey Gibbs.
"STEEL-IT has significantly enhanced our program with its ability to withstand the harsh conditions we subject our equipment to daily. Its fully weldable properties without any prep work save our team valuable time, allowing us to quickly turn the truck around for the next event. This is especially critical during race weekends with back-to-back race days, practice, and qualifying. It’s a frantic pace, but STEEL-IT enables us to work rapidly and efficiently."
“We were thrilled to see Trey clinch the championship title even before the end of the season,” said Michael Faigen, President & CEO of STEEL-IT. “We think it’s critical to give back to a sport that has shown our coatings such deep support. It’s even more satisfying to be represented by a phenom like Trey!”
The benefits of STEEL-IT in off-road racing are numerous. Its advanced formula offers superior anti-corrosion protection, essential for vehicles enduring rugged terrains and extreme conditions. The spray-on coating is ideal for quick touch-ups, during race preparations throughout the season, and significant off-season upgrades. The weldable stainless-steel formula is particularly valuable, enabling rapid repairs and modifications without compromising the coating’s integrity.
Trey’s journey to the top of the Pro Lite division has been marked by a series of impressive accomplishments, from his early days in entry-level classes to his rise as a national pro-level competitor. His short course racing career includes multiple championships and world titles at the iconic Crandon International Raceway.
